Interfaith peace vigil with St Mary’s and a local Masorti Jewish & Quaker Group, 7.15 – 8pm Sunday 26th November
We are holding a vigil with St Mary’s to mark and mourn the loss of life in Israel and Gaza. It will be held at our usual venue, in the St Mary’s Centre. We will be joined by New Stoke Newington Masorti and a local Quaker group. Please do join us. Tea and biscuits will be available afterwards.

Our next Shabbat morning service is Saturday 2nd December with Bar Mitzvah of our young member Arun from 11am. Cheder and Creche will also be running. Our final Shabbat Morning service of the secular year is on 16th December.

London Boroughs Faiths Network training course for faith community leaders, Tuesday 28th November – 12th December
London Boroughs Faiths Network training course for faith community leaders You will receive eight hours of learning over four sessions from experts and colleagues in the emergency services, local authorities and voluntary sector including British Red Cross, Groundwork, CST, Victim Support, Thrive London. The course will establish strong local relationships to build upon in case of future emergency situations. The course runs for three Tuesday evenings from 28th November – Tuesday 12th December.

Chesed Care Group meeting online – Wednesday 6th December 7:30 – 8:30pm
Chesed Care Group is an important part of our Kehillah: We gather together to support one another and the members of our community, especially those who are vulnerable or alone. The group is looking for more volunteers to help call up and chat to vulnerable community members, just to keep in touch and keep abreast of what’s going on for our members. Please join us at our next Zoom meeting to get involved!

An Evening at JW3 to Mark the Departure and Expulsion of Jews from the Arab Countries and Iran – 30th November 7:30pm
30th November is the official memorial day in Israel to mark the departure and expulsion of more than 850,000 Jews from Arab countries and Iran in the 20th century. JW3 is hosting the official UK commemoration in the presence of communal leaders and senior diplomats, and in partnership with Harif (the UK Association of Jews from the Middle East and North Africa) and Sephardi Voices UK. This year our theme will be ‘The Jews of North Africa.’

Expect magic, “theatre of the mind”, uprising against oppression and lots and LOTS of dice!!! Doors at 6:45pm for a 7pm game start.
