“I’m a relatively new member of Kehillah, joining during the pandemic. I was brought up in
London in a secular Jewish family, and this is the first Jewish community I have ever been
part of. I spent my career as a teacher/ teacher educator specialising in working with
bilingual and ethnic minority learners. After that busy period of work, bringing up children
and looking after aging parents, I wanted to connect with my heritage, and am so blessed to
have found this community I love its diversity and warm welcome to all. I am keen to ‘give
back’ to the community and support it in ways I can – hence my membership of the
Management Committee. I am also part of the Chesed group and an occasional volunteer
for the crèche.”
