Shabbat morning service
Tomorrow morning we have our Shabbat morning service at 11am. All are welcome, especially this week as part of the #ShowUpForShabbat initiative. See here for Liberal Judaism’s statement. Children’s Hebrew is at 10am and cheder follows at 11am. Please bring something vegetarian to share for kiddush.
This past Tuesday, in place of our planned adult education session, we hosted a very successful vigil in the aftermath of the Pittsburgh shooting last weekend, led by Cantor Tamara Wolfson jointly with Rabbi Roni Tabick of the New Stoke Newington Shul.
Come Learn With Me
So Come Learn with Cantor Tamara next Tuesday 6th November at the New Community Rooms at 7.30 for the rescheduled start of our series on liturgy and music. We will explore our Shabbat liturgy in depth covering history, theology and music, as well as different versions of the same prayers as encountered in other prayer books. This liturgy exploration will include discussions of our new LJ draft liturgy, which we hope to use during selected upcoming services.
