- Next Shabbat Morning – this Saturday 18th January from 11am
Our Shabbat Morning service is at 11am as usual. Please bring something vegetarian to share for kiddush.
Set-up normally begins at around 9.30, and anyone who wants to help is welcome – with a chance to spend time with other Kehillah members before the service starts. If you would like to be honoured by participating in the service please make sure to arrive in plenty of time and speak to the warden. Following that we have a Shabbat morning service on 1st February.
- Next Shabbat Evening Service – Friday 7th February 6-7:30pm
Please arrive from 6pm for a 6:30pm start. We will finish by around 7:30pm as usual.
- Erev Tu B’shevat seder – Sunday 9th February 5-7pm
Join us for a Tu b’shevat seder to celebrate the new year for the trees. We will also be discussing the relevance of this lovely festival for our Kehillah and the wider world. Please bring some fruit to share and all ages welcome.
This event will be taking place at a member’s home and though we are still finalising details, this is likely to be taking place in the Barnsbury area of Islington. Please contact Ashleigh the Administrator to be sent the address once all details are confirmed.
- Shabbat Morning service with Nasdiya’s Bat Mitzvah – Saturday 15th February – eariler time of 10:30am
Due to the Bat Mitzvah, our service on 15th February will begin at the earlier time of 10:30am. Nasdiya’s family would also like to invite the community to kiddush, which they will be providing after the service.
- Expanded Cheder trial – weekly sessions until 8th February
At the request of parents, a trial period of expanded cheder sessions began this past Saturday, 11th January. Cheder will running weekly from 11am-2pm on days when we have a service, and from 11am-1pm on days when there is no service. There will then be a break for half-term after our session on 8th February, to be resumed on 29th February, with the final session in this trial taking place on 7th March.
These additonal cheder sessions are geared towards those young people in our community aged 10-13, and will focus on Jewish Identity and children’s Hebrew. If you would still like your child to participate or would like any further information about this, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
