Shabbat Evening service tonight and Esther’s Bat Mitzvah next week

  • Shabbat evening service tonight, Friday, 9th November.

Come and unwind with us at the end of the week. Please arrive from 6pm for a prompt 6:30 start and 7:30 finish

  • Come Learn With Me continues on Tuesday, 13th November 7:30-9pm

Come Learn with Cantor Tamara this Tuesday 13th November 7.30. This is the second in our series on liturgy and music. We are exploring our Shabbat liturgy in depth covering history, theology and music, as well as different versions of the same prayers as encountered in other prayer books. This liturgy exploration includes discussions of our new LJ draft liturgy.

  • Shabbat morning service and Esther’s Bat Mitzvah on Saturday 17th November from 11am

Children’s Hebrew is at 10am. No cheder, but cheder aged children are encouraged to attend to support Esther and her family. Esther and her family invite the community to join them in a short kiddush after the service.

  • St Mary’s N16 Music for Peace weekend

Join an instant choir rehearsing and performing The Armed Man – A Mass for Peace learning/rehearsing this Saturday afternoon accompanied by musicians from the World Harmony Orchestra – you would need to be a music-reading singer. All welcome for the performance at 7.30pm at the church. Our member Robin is signed up for this and one or two other Kehillah members are considering joining him. On Sunday evening there is a concert by the World Harmony Orchestra, again all welcome. See here for more information.
