Tuesday 7th November, 7-9pm, Israel/Palestine and antisemitism Listening Circle
Jewish members and friends are welcome to join for a listening circle at our member Lars’ home in Arsenal, facilitated by Robin. The war is bringing up big feelings for many of us, which may be leaving us feeling sad, angry, confused, overwhelmed, or numb. A listening circle is a safe space to be together at this difficult time, share feelings and be unconditionally listened to, without debate or persuasion, judgment or criticism. The painful issues that have prompted us to offer these listening spaces are very much interconnected with issues of antisemitism, both directly and indirectly, in complex ways. For the time being, we are offering Jews and those converting to Judaism a ‘safe space’ together to support each other in processing the personal impact this can have. We recognise that non-Jews also need such spaces, and that people in Jewish/non-Jewish couples and close friendships might well find it helpful to have spaces they could attend together. We are learning as we go along, and hope to find ways to develop those kinds of spaces as well. Thank you for your patience with this.
