Jewish members and friends are welcome to join for a listening circle online, facilitated by Robin. The war is bringing up big feelings for many of us, which may be leaving us feeling sad, angry, confused, overwhelmed, or numb. A listening circle is a safe space to be together at this difficult time, share feelings and be unconditionally listened to, without debate or persuasion, judgment or criticism.

The painful issues that have prompted us to offer these listening spaces are very much interconnected with issues of antisemitism, both directly and indirectly, in complex ways. For the time being, we are offering Jews and those converting to Judaism a ‘safe space’ together to support each other in processing the personal impact this can have. We recognise that non-Jews also need such spaces, and that people in Jewish/non-Jewish couples and close friendships might well find it helpful to have spaces they could attend together. We are learning as we go along, and hope to find ways to develop those kinds of spaces as well. Thank you for your patience with this.

Pastoral Care for Kehillah members

This is a particularly difficult time for all of us, and particularly for those of us with direct connections to Israel (and Gaza). We also know it is tough for young people and parents to know how to talk or approach the conflict.

Diwali with local Hindu community Shirdi Sai Baba Temple, Saturday 18th November 2-5pm

Kehillah members have been invited to celebrate Diwali with local Hindu community Shirdi Sai Baba Temple. The temple will honour our community with temple respects, and there will be food, singing and dancing. An Evening at JW3 to Mark the Departure and Expulsion of Jews from the Arab Countries and Iran – 30th November 7:30pm

30th November is the official memorial day in Israel to mark the departure and expulsion of more than 850,000 Jews from Arab countries and Iran in the 20th century. JW3 is hosting the official UK commemoration in the presence of communal leaders and senior diplomats, and in partnership with Harif (the UK Association of Jews from the Middle East and North Africa) and Sephardi Voices UK. This year our theme will be ‘The Jews of North Africa.’

“Dungeons & Dragons“-style gaming to tell the Chanukah story?!?! Expect magic, “theatre of the mind”, uprising against oppression and lots and LOTS of dice!!! Doors at 6:45pm for a 7pm game start.
