Important High Holidays information:

Shana Tovah! Most services over the High Holidays are now over capacity due to the busy High Holiday period and we have no further space available at our Rosh Hashanah community lunch. We therefore ask those who are booked to attend to please arrive to all services & events promptly. This will help take the stress off of our volunteers in trying to organise capacity & seating. Please also do not come if you feel unwell and suspect it may be due to a contagious illness.

Member tickets will be unavailable to book after 2:30pm on Erev Rosh Hashanah (Friday 15th September) and will then be availble to book again for Yom Kippur from 18th September until 5:30pm on 22nd September when we will cease taking bookings.

Our Administrator Ashleigh will similarly be unavailable on email after 2:30pm on Erev Rosh Hashanah until after the weekend. For information on how to contact her during these times in cases of time sensitive matters, see information on our contact details here.

If you are able to volunteer, please come early to help set up chairs or welcome at the door. We also are still looking for people to pass out kiddish and help with lunch. If you can help at any service on the day, please approach the welcomers or wardens as you arrive to let them know or contact Holly here.

Cheder Dates now up on the Kehillah website

A note that Cheder will be re-starting on 7th October, after the High Holiday period. All Cheder dates for the Jewish year until our Summer break in 2024 (secular year) are up on our webiste now.

Community-wide Taschlich for second day of Rosh Hashanah, Sunday 17th September at 5.30 pm

New Stoke Newington Masorti & Walford Rd Synagogues would like to invite Kehillah members & Friends to their community-wide joint Taschlich for second day Rosh Hashanah. Will take place by the New River in Clissold Park.

Walthamstow members invite Kehillah-nicks to visit their Sukkah – Thursday 5th October from 6pm or Monday 9th October

Our members Madeleine & Emily would like to invite Kehillah members to visit their Sukkah at Madeleine & her partner Ed’s house in Walthamstow on 5th Octover from 6pm. Bring nibbles and drinks. Those who cannot make it on Thursday evening are also welcome to contact Madeleine to arrange a time during the day the following Monday for an informal cuppa in the Sukkah and to shake the lulav. Be aware that there are (lovely) cats resident in Madeline & Ed’s home but they will not be in the garden & there is access to the garden from the street for those with allergies.

Beit Din Weekend Friday 3rd – Sunday 5th November 2023, Easingwold at The Hawkhills

Are you considering conversion through either Reform or Liberal Judaism? Are you in the process of converting?

Enjoy a Shabbat experience with those following a similar path and facing similar issues in a warm, open environment for questions and discussions. The weekend is being offered through the Reform Movement for Judaism but Liberal candidates and Liberal Rabbis are warmly invited to join us.

The weekend is open to anyone considering conversion or is currently in the process of converting. Partners, Jewish or non-Jewish are more than welcome.
