Shabbat Shalom – Evening service tonight

  • Shabbat evening service tonight, Friday, 26th October.

Come and unwind with us at the end of the week. Please arrive from 6pm for a prompt 6:30 start and 7:30 finish

  • First Come Learn With Me event of the season on Tuesday, 30th October 7:30-9pm

This four-part series will run on Tuesday evenings from 30th October – 20th November. We will explore our Shabbat liturgy in depth covering history, theology and music, as well as different versions of the same prayers as encountered in other prayer books. This liturgy exploration will include discussions of our new LJ draft liturgy, which we hope to use during selected upcoming services.

  • Shabbat morning service on Saturday 3rd November from 11am

Children’s Hebrew is at 10am and Cheder at is 11am. Please bring something vegetarian to share for kiddush.

  • Jewish Singing Day on 4th November

Rebekka Wedell is hosting this event at Kingston Liberal Synagogue where she works as Music Director. The day will involve a range of Jewish vocal music including Synagogue, Ladino, Yiddish and Israeli and a vegetarian lunch/tea is included in the registration fee.   • Jewish Men’s retreat 30th November – 2nd December

Organised by Matthew Rosen Marsh, this small Jewish Men’s retreat will start at 2pm on Friday 30th and end at 1pm on Sunday. Matthew says: ‘This is the third retreat we have run in the last 18 months and is based on the Jungian Archetypes’. You can find out more here and at http://amaranatho.com.
